20's vs 30's: Which is better?
This Dames’ top 5 reason why being 30 is more fun than being 20
|Cheers to being 30!|
You have established who you are:
In your 20's you're still figuring out who you are. What your outlook on life is, what your career choice is, what your political views are. These things are all shaped and molded by the people in your life, your own experiences, and even where you live. You become more self confident and realize things that you will and won't put up with.
More financial freedom (for most of us):
I had just graduated and was off to start my career in my 20's and most my friends and I lived at home with our parents. Fast forward 10 years and now we all have established careers and are on our own. Being in our 30's has provided us more financial freedom and flexibility to save and do things that we want, whether it be travel or have the dream car we always wanted.
You tolerance for BS is shorter (allowing you to not waste your time):
Whether it's your job or your relationships, when you reach your 30's you realize you don’t have time for bullshit. If it's not going in the direction that you are pleased with, change it, because now we have the confidence and knowledge that we can.
Relationships are real:
Once the partying stops and real life sets in your true friends will be left standing. This shows who is really there for you. If you are not married and in a dating situation, for most, it's goes beyond "just having fun." The person that you have in your life is, again for most, is in it for the long haul with talks of living together or marriage on the horizon.
At this age it’s now clear that we don’t know everything like we thought we did when we were in our 20’s. There is so much in life to learn and as we get older, we're exposed to so many more life experiences. This helps us realize the bigger picture and our purpose. It ties back into finding out who we are and having more adult relationships which leads us to doing and learning new things.
Our health (my add on):
Every stage in life has its valuable lessons and it's good times, but if you ask me (and my group of friends) we are enjoying our 30's over our 20's... What about you?
