Short Story Writing: Get Started

iAuthor

As a new budding author, planning to self-publish, I have heard more than once that you need both quality and quantity for your readers to have. With that I know it is important to get readers in the first place. I have been using twitter for some time and I heard that Google+ is a great avenue as well. I went on and created a community for Dames who wanted to talk about their writing and blogging.

As I was added people to my list, I came across this Google+ Collection called iAuthor, and holly shit I felt like I’d just hit the jackpot. For having just branched out and focusing on writing short stories, this couldn’t have been found at a better time. In order to sell your writing you need to have more than one book for people to read. The success of a self published author is very much both quality and quantity.

Now I don’t have a problem coming up with book ideas. In fact, I have too many than I know what to do with. However, for other writers, this can be an issue to getting content out. Well with iAuthor, they provide amazing imagines to prompt you to come up with story ideas. They encourage their followers to post opening lines of stories they think of to share. As soon as I clicked on it, I was more inspired than I had been in a while. I actually just posted an article on how I was losing my way while decided to write full time. So I have come up with an idea to help kick start my creativity even more, as well as hold myself accountable for finishing a book, as this is where I have the hardest time.

I’ve decided I’m going to do a challenge with myself and would love for you to join me. I am
